How do I put my own special words that I use a lot into the iPhone dictionary?

For example, I use the abbreviation "PBR" a lot and it always changes it to something a lot. I'd like to add it to the suggested list...

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

It should do it automatically according to Apple but I have noticed that it really doesn't. I personally type "Ha Ha" a lot and the iPhone always tries to change it to "Us Us". It never learns.

If this is really important to you, I suggest you ask this question in the iPhone Modifications forum. I bet someone there will be able to tell you how to access the file on your phone that is storing all of the words suggestions and I bet you could add in your "PBR" (whatever that means )...

Learning is supposed to be triggered by canceling the suggestion 3 times.

Type "Ha", and tap the X after the suggestion.

Repeat 3 times. It should in theory stop suggesting an alternative.

3 times in a row? Because I've definitely Xed the "Ha" over 150 times.

Maybe it limits new words to 3+ letters? Start using "Haha" instead and see.

That could be right. And yes, I'm slowly starting to only use "haha" instead of "ha ha" and it works. I've just put that space in there for years and I really thought the phone would figure it out eventually...

That is correct. I think it takes at least 3 letters for the iphone to remember the text. I use a lot of 2 letter words that are not english words and my iphone never remembers it. This is actually pissing me of because I text using a different language and I have to keep canceling the 2 letter words suggested by the phone. Seems like apple didnt consider the non english textsters on this.
