Apps not showing up in App list itunes 9

The apps side of the Application Tab in itunes 9 is blank but the right side shows my iphone's springboards correctly.

JB with 3.12

I assume if I check 'sync' it will erase all my apps since the left side window is blank.

Anyone shed any light on this?

I just purchased an app from the app store using my pc, it showed up as they all should. Still was not able to use itunes to move it to my phone, everything is greyed out.
