If you can get access to a different computer (maybe a windows machine?) try loading it from there.

Uncheck all your music - sync - recheck your music and resync. Someone else had the same issue in this thread and that worked for them.

Just unsync then resync your music and it should work.

It seems to be a little better and this is only beta 1, so by the final release when they address everything I am sure it will be as close to what they said it would be.

I have not noticed any battery improvements...but my battery issue wasn't very bad. My phone will start to warm up after about 5-10 minutes of continuous use (3G first, then the 3GS after I got it), through a case it is not hot or uncomfortable, but noticeable. This "warming" issue began with the GM release of 3.0, never noticed it before on 2.2.1 or any of the betas.

I first did shift + update. When it was done, it didn't feel quite as snappy as it did on 3.0, so I restored from back up. Once I restarted after the restore it did feel just as snappy. Others have updated with no issues, so I would try that first, if you have issues...try restoring from back up, if you still have issues...restore and set up as new.
