I wanna know why I should jailbreak my iphone. What happens why I do so, does it just umlock it for tmobile and others? I just wanna know why I should do it?
I'm new to this and i've jailbreaked mine 2 days ago so i can use all the iphone features without the PHONE function..... well, at least for now until there a program out there that will UNLOCK it, or until i get myself a AT&T contract. 'cuz basically your iphone is useless if you just got one OTB.
the main reason people jailbreak is to be able to install 3rd party software. This can range from customizing apps that allow you to choose different themes for your springboard, show your wallpaper instead of the standard black screen; game apps like Game-system emulators, solitaire, etc; music apps that allow you to stream music through EDGE... there are TONS of apps out there waiting to be installed on your iphone.
jailbreaking alone will NOT allow you to use your phone on other networks, but it is part of the process.
