Can anyone lead me in the right direction to JB my v1 on 3.0? I just sold it on eBay. I also need to unlock it. Thanks guys!

I am looking for the same thing. I have a v1 that is on 3.0 and need to unlock it and JB it before I post on eBay.

BTW how much did yours sell for?

Use Pwnage Tool to Jailbreak it (Mac only). There is a link for the official Bittorrent release here, http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/1264...ois-drei-h-rom. That will restore the phone, jailbreak it, and put Cydia and Icy on it. Choose restore to factory settings, when prompted in iTunes. Then open Cydia and follow these directions to unlock with ultrasn0w, http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/128573459/ultras-now Watch a Youtube how to video before hand if you want.

I am not on a Mac, what tool will I use in place of Pwnage Tool

downloaded and ran qwikpwn, was told ipsw did not match or was corrupted,what do I do now oh I updated to 3.0

To jailbreak an iPhone 3G, I recommend using RedSn0w.

Hey...i was wondering if their is a jailbreak for 2.1.1 ipod ... I've be searching and no one has it that i know of, it would be great if anyone knows how to jailbreak 2.1.1 ipod touch or how long its going to take to invent it?

OK, I went in and followed the instructions for windows and when i did the restore for the phone, i held down shift and clicked restore. I got the message about erasing everything once i restored. Ok'd it and as the restore started, i opened up the 3.0 firmware that is in the link and when it went through the restore, I got a message that the phone could not connect to itunes cause i did not have a sim card. I went ahead and did the jailbreak and when i got to the reboot step, it just sat there and would do nothing. I canceled out of it and now it will not do anything. I got a brick. Any ideas where i went wrong and how i can correct it? I want to get it right on my original before i start messing with my 3g. thanks for any input.

ok, i got past that problem and got it to restore and got everything functional again. now when i try to restore with the 3.0 firmware (shift and restore and then choose the firm ware from the folder) and i get the error message that my phone is not compatible. i am trying to jb the original iphone with the newest itunes update. lmk guys, really need to get this thing jb quickly. thanks
