Hopefully. The whole thing does make sense though. Even though I REALLY want my 3GS jailbroken, I am willing to wait in order to ensure future 3GS buyers a jailbreak.

They're basically saying we pretty much have the jailbreak for the 3GS. But we're going to wait to put it out because they don't want apple to get a hold of the jailbreak and try to fix the exploit preventing future 3GS owners from jailbreaking.

If you plan on jailbreaking, it would be a good idea to do a full USB dump or capture your img3.

I did an img3 capture last night to be on the safe side.

This is a bit frustrating though. What will the criteria be for releasing the new hack: Apple's release of 3.01; 3.1; an undisclosed number of 3GS sales? And if it is the first item, it could be just a week or two away OR it could be a several weeks to months away. :-\ Okay, I've vented....(guess I'm missing SBsetting, Intelliscreen, statusnotifier)

supposedly chronic is going to have the hack out this week. They have more then one exploit so theres no point in waiting for the 3.0.1 update. Most dont even think the dev team has the exploit yet fingers crossed that it comes soon.
