Help~...I accidentally deleted var in the /root. I think it's a shortcut link. Now my iphone is hanged, i can't refurbish or anything. Pls advise. Thank you. I'm on 1.1.4.
The only way and safest way I can think of is a restore. If iTunes does not recognizethe iPhone then close your eyes and hold the power button and the home button down for 10 seconds. Count as slow as possible and after 10 release the power button and iTunes will recognize your iphone as in DFU mode and is ready for restore. The Restore should fix your deleated Var folder. This will be much easier than trying to create a new Var folder and probably will elad to further troubles if you try messing around with it.

Hmm I have an idea..are you still able to access your iPhone and add files via SSH or something. If you can I can upload my var/root files and you can use those do a restore and that should fix it. I am not home right now and I cannot upload them but tonight if you send me a reminder I will try it. I have never tried this but it should work just it would have all my var files.
