Upgrade to 1.1.1 without itunes network access?

My company has blocked the iTunes update server at work. I want to upgrade my phone to 1.1.1 from 1.0.2 but without the ability to reach the servers I can't use iTunes to do the upgrade (errors on both restore and upgrade saying that the server is unreachable).
My question is, if I can get hold of a copy of the upgrade file itself can I still upgrade the phone using the shift click method or will this cause me problems during the process?

I got this to work by using the Microsoft Firewall client for ISA server. Updated to 1.1.1 and using a one-click method I am back in business.
