Default Themes on JB iphone

I jailbroke my 3g 3.0 how do I get themes on my phone? I have the theme I want to put on but not sure how to do it.

Install winterboard from cydia and in winterboard, select the theme you installed from cydia to make active. Press home button and it will reboot.

I cant get any of the themes to go on the springboard background. does anyone know how to fix this?

No need to double post. You'll get more help if you are more specific and start your own thread. Please add in details of what you did and then if we see where you skipped a step, we can let you know. Anyway, here it is in a nutshell; download Winterboard in Cydia, download a theme in Cydia, close Cydia, open Winterboard, place a check by the theme, Respring the phone. Walla...new theme. Now there are other ways to do it, with SSH, if the theme is downloaded from the web because it isn't available in Cydia. But I have no idea if that's what you need help with since you were very vague.
