step by step jailbreak for 3g?

is there a step by step guideline for jailbreaking? my brother has a 3g with 3.0 on it and wants to jailbreak it badly so he can do different themes. is there a GOOD step by step process? can anyone make me one? ie. what software to use, and a step by step diagram of what to click, what to press when and where?

please help

Does he have a Mac? If so, he can use Pwnage Tool. I don't recommend Redsn0w, I've heard it's buggy. If he has a PC, he'll just need to wait a little bit longer for the QuickPWN release. I recommend waiting for QuickPWN as it's the easiest and fastest way to JB and works with Mac and PC. There are tons of Youtube how to videos.

I had a question on the phones are already jailbroken.

Do you un jailbreak/restore it first then upgrade to 3.0 then jailbreak it again? or is there a better way?
