My phone kinda tarted out a couple weeks ago and I lost my sound. Well I was able to get my sound back from unistalling everything I installed through the course of that day. But there was one side effect. My sound image (the speaker that shoes up when you increase or decrease your volume) doesn't show up anymore when I change the volume. Sometimes half of the speaker image will show up in the top left corner of my phone but most of the time I get no image. My volume buttons still work fine, but I just cant see where my volume level is at. Anyone heard of this or know how to fix it without a restore???
Oh ya I also reset all settings and this didnt help.
uninstalling and installing all those apps probably altered your Iphone's framework files that tell that image to show up when you click your volume rocker.
If you're lucky, thats the only damage it has done to your iphone's user interface.
My strong strong recommendation is to restore your iphone.
Save all your contacts - re-read all your sms's and get Ziphone ready.

I'm forced to agree--a restore may be in order. Can't hurt, can only help. Just a PITA, that's all!
And Set Up As New Phone!!
