Sim clone free WWAN

has anyone tried to clone their sim cards and use it in an hspda card that uses 3g instead of edge. just wondering if you could do it since we have unlimited data (att) but if it would allow the 3g?

It's not just up to the sim to allow 3G, the card in the phone must be 3G capable.

are you saying clone your sim to that sim in the link adn you will get 3g on your iPhone?

no im saying most hspda cards have a sim card in them usually in accordance with your account im saying say you have your phone with unlimited web and you cloned that sim then transfered the card to the hspda card the sim cards normally only have info regarding the account (Phone numbers and photos on some but not normally on smart phones) anyone got an att hspda card want to try card cloners are cheap hspda cards arent

our phones sims say 3G on them, that doesnt mean anything..

the phone cannot support 3g, it isnt capable, its like saying can crysis run on a 5 year old windows, its pointless time wasted

Omega, I guess you are assuming that you have an internal WWAN in your laptop where you just have to insert the sim card in your laptop and thats it. I have an XPS M1330 with built in WWAN, I had subscribed to cingulars service and they gave me a sim card that worked great, later on I cancelled the service because of the price.
Now I have a blackjack with 3G and ive tried to take out the sim card in the phone and stick it to my laptop but it does not work. I guess the sim cards made for laptops have a different configuration that actually allow the computer to see the internet. My Blackjack sim card did not work for the laptop, Ive been trying to do some research about how to change the settings of a sim card but havent been successful.
