Do i have to get 3.0 to jailbreak it? I really don't wanna lose all of my cydia programs (yes I have apt backup also) thanks guys

Sorry, someone told me that a/the firmware was needed for the jailbreak. I thought that firmware would be the update.

You're going to need to give me some more information. I'm assuming you're currently jailbroken on 2.2.1 or earlier? What exactly are you asking, if you upgrade to 3.0, can you jailbreak? Please be a bit more clear.

I wasn't trying to offend anyone, and before his second post I thought it was pretty clear what he was asking, and what the answer was. Now I don't know either. However brash, I thought I was being helpful at the time.
