So I'm another guy on a general forum asking for help. This is true and I understand not helping here b/c this i snot an easy task, but I've hit a road block for my iphone and I feel like my hands are tied (you've been there i'm sure). There has to be a genius out there who knows something I don't and can give me some real advice. I will try to keep this simple.

SPECS:
-FW1.1.1
-BL 3.9
-jailbroken using app install
-unlock used- anysim 1.1
-PC
-20hrs of hardwork = fixed phone...WRONG!

PROBLEM:
-I Unlock my phone (after 3-4 attempts) and I will lose my unlock when shut off.

SYMPTOMS:
***when I jailbreak it I never have to *#301#... to bypass activation. Found this odd and it may be a symtom of the problem.***

*** "waiting for activation / this may take some time" pops up after I bypass *#301#, BUT goes away after unlocked***

I would honestly believe that you are the iPhone master if you solve this one...

i say virginize and start again and use another unlocking program...

Thanks for your willingness to help themanofthedark. ill try to catch you on AIM. believe it or not I figured out how to get it unlocked quickly without the daunting process of redoing DFU, FW, Downgrade BB, load installer... THEN AnySim. All I do is downgrade BB to 04.01.13_G and then run AnySim. This will give me a successful unlock every time the 1st time! I still lose my unlock after shutting off though.

I was looking into somehow directly going into the phones files and rewriting the lockdata in EEPROM with "blank" unlocked data. This supposedly permanently unlocks the phone regardless of the upgrade...for ever. Wondering if anyone has ever done this. Ever heard of this?? Any advice??

whoa, that last bit may be a very very bad idea.
you screw with the BL you can kill your phone.
