Well, there's a command that can be done via SSH so long as you have a UIkit tools package installed, but I forgot what that command was, so that shot was taken on my Mac - VNC'ed to the iPhone. (Hence the VNC logo in the menubar.)

I added it. But where can I get information on how to use it. It mentions vishoot. I think that might be the command, but I wonder how to apply it?

Thanks.

Got it. Make sure you have UIKIT Tools installed and SSH in as mobile or root. Then lock the phone and press the home button. Then type the command uishoot and that shot will be in your Camera Roll.

Well it won't work for me! I use terminal to ssh and go to root. I get to the lock screen, press the home key, type the command vishoot, and all it does is say command not found? I must be doing something wrong.

The command is uishoot. Also, make sure you rebooted after installing UIKIT Tools.

Thanks Lincoln, I got it to work, but I have to download the image to my desktop manually? It does not go to a camera roll on the phone? But at least I can get it to work.

Again, thanks

Well, I discovered that only if you SSH in as mobile does the shot appear in your camera roll. If you log in as root, it goes here:

/var/root/Media/DCIM/999APPLE

Then you could download it via any FTP client.
