    New iphone - New Questions

When I complete the iphone jailbreak, will I need to jailbreak each time Apple puts out a new software version. Example, ver: 2.0 to 2.1 then 2.2. Will this then constitute a new jailbreak? Thank you in advance for your assistance. By the way, I did check for this answer on this site. There are so many similar questions I think the site could use some clean up a more stickeys to help clearify many questions quickly. Again, thanks for your help.

Yes. Each new firmware update will return your jailbroken phone to stock status. You will have to wait for the development team to release updates to the jailbreaking software before you can jailbreak the next firmware update.

Luckily, the jailbreak updates by the Dev Team only take a few days to appear.

It's recommended to restore the phone as a new device before rejailbreaking each time you want to install a new FW update released by Apple.
