Default My Iphone is now an expensive paperweight

Right folks, i think i have completely killed my Iphone beyond repair.
Firstly i am using windows not Mac.
My iphone was crashing all the time so i decided to restore in Itunes.
I was a bit rash when it would not work so updated it to V1.1.2 with a view to downgrading and jailbreaking.
That is where it all went wrong. It was an unlocked V1.1.1 to start with and when i got the the stage of using ibrick the phone restarted and now scrolls constant white text down the screen aand then after about 10 seconds it reboots and starts again. I can just make out wording like " Darwin Kernel V9" at the top just before it starts the endless scrolling of white text.

Time to throw it in the bin????????

HELP

same thing happened to me with the endless reboot. what i did was:

1. Closed iTunes
2. Disconnected iPhone from USB.
3. Restarted iTunes.
4. Hold down HOME + POWER buttons.
5. Reconnect USB to iPhone while holding down HOME & POWER buttons.

This should make iTunes recognize the iPhone again. VOILA!

Hope this helps.

I can testify to this. It always works no matter what, as far as I've seen.

WOW you guys are good.
Fixed it and allowed me to restore.
I think it will mow be better to wait for an easy Jailbreak as i now am back to a unactivated previously unlocked phone. It now has V1.1.2 when it was an OTB V1.1.1 which i jailbroke and Unlocked using anysim.

Hopefully and easier jailbreak / sim unlock is just around the corner.

Anyhow respect to everyone who has helped.

Must be a good week for that!

Same thing happened to me two days ago. After some research, I found out it is called "Kernel Panic"

I guess it's a MAC thing.

This happens in OS X and is VERY RARE.

Whereas you have all versions of Windows with the BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) every 10 minutes .
