Question JailBreaking,3rd party apps?

Hey everyone I am new here,I just bought my 16g iphone about 2 days ago. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have read around in the forums and i think i understand what jailbreaking is but im still a bit confused. What are some cool games and stuff like that to put on my iphone and how would I even go about it? What all do you guys have installed on your phone besides what it came with?
Im sorry this post is all scrambled sounding.

I have not done this to mine and would recommend waiting if your not experienced with this incase you mess it up.. the sdk release is coming soon and could having you avoid all the trouble

SDK stands for software development kit, and yes you would have to pay for the apps that you want.

SDK is the Software Development Kit that Apple will be releasing next week. (Or so we think and hope; Steve Jobs told us that it was coming in late February.) This will allow developer to make official third-party apps for the iPhone that will be supported by Apple, unlike apps from jailbreaking.

It is pretty much certain that apps will be available in iTunes. The payment, nobody is sure of. Some may be free, some may cost, and the amount will depend on what they do. I'm sure I'll pay for a nice solid app.
