You'll want to use Customize 2.0; I believe it's available without an invitation, now. I use it quite a bit and haven't had any problems, and I'm on 1.1.4

Go to this site, click 'register' at the top, and sign up! That's the site I used, anyway, when it was still by invite. If you have problems with that let me know and I'll do some nosing around for you.

Also, I was told told by someone that, "And once I downloaded customize 2.0 it would not start up so I went into installer and added the SUID lib fix and it worked perfectly! Don't worry the suid lib fix works with 1.1.4 as well"

You can download WinSCP or Cyberduck or similar programs free - just do a google search. I've not played around with SSH yet, but have made good use of Customize 2.0. Just start there and get the hang of it, and you can explore SSH next.
