iphone 3g upgrade to 3?

i have a big problem that i put myself into..i got an iphone 3g off a person and when i got it it was unlocked and jailbroken and i used it for 6 months without upgrading to any version and now i downloaded the new itunes 8.2 and updated the phone to new update that has mms features. i updated already since i am very new at this i didnt know that could turn out to be a huge prblem. Now all i see on my itunes is that my sim card is not supported and i need to contact my provider to get a valid sim. And on my phone it has the emergency only and plug into itunes sign...what do i do? please i am very new at this can someone help me please?

Try to take out your sim card and update. Then you'll have to jailbreak 3.0 and install ultrasnow (when it comes out).
