iPhone 2g Fw. 2.2 quickpwned but no celular function.

Hi everyone, I was holding off on this because i really wasn't sure how it would go... Now I know why I waited.

I upgraded my iPhone 2G from 1.1.4 to 2.2 then ran quickpwn on my macbook successfully but I have now lost the ability to make phone calls.

It recognises my sim card with o2 Germany and allows me type the pin and unlocks but i have no coverage and no network. I basically now have ipod touch functionality with bluetooth...

I also tried PwnageTool but came to the same result.

which .ipsw image did you use to create the custom one in pwnage tool?

the one i downloaded in itunes.

ok, so it should be the .ipsw for the v1 iphone... i would double-check just to make sure, though. The name of the file should be "iPhone1,1_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw". iPhone1,1 designates it is for iphone v1, and not the 3G.

Yep. iPhone1,1_2.2_5G77_restore.ipsw

I used ZiPhone OSX to crack it the first time on 1.1.4 so Pwnage is a new experience for me.
