It says "could not activate cellular data network. You are not subscribed to a cellular data service."

Well, are you subscribed to a cellular data service?

Yes, I subscribed to the unlimited access for $30 a month and it doesn't work.

Just from looking around, I wonder if your APN settings are correct for your carrier and data plan. I'm not really sure how it works, so someone else will probably have to walk you through it. I got the idea from this post about a T-mobile data issue:

Hopefully, that will help. What carrier are you using?

I found a guide to changing your APN HERE.

You need to use SSH. I've never done it, but there are plenty of tutorials out there.

After looking around, it looks like the APN you should be using is "cellular1.wap"

Wink

You shouldn't need to SSH anything.
The APN settings are in your menu: General> Network> Cellular Data Network>
You will then need to complete the APN, Username and Password details which you might be able to find via a google search...

OK, so I got the below info for you:-

Fields not specified should be blank.

GPRS Web Session:
Homepage: http://172.23.1.135:8080/cellularone.wml
Service Type 1: WAP
Gatewap IP 1: 172.23.1.252
Port 1: 9201
Service Type 2: WAP
Gateway IP 2: 172.23.1.252
Port 2: 9201
Timeout: 15 minutes
GPRS APN: cellular1wap

So, as dhkosta posted you will only need to complete the APN field.
