how to fix the Incorrect SIM message after downgrade

if you get the message "Incorrect SIM -- please insert an unlocked or valid SIM card" when you attempt to downgrade from 1.1.X (X = anything ABOVE 1.1.1) to 1.1.1 or lower, your problem is your BL or Baseband forgot which is an upgraded one and you didnt follow the long tutorials with many many steps. Here is the solution to going to the Apple Store 30 miles away and lying through your teeth trying to get another phone.

NOTE: This is a fix to take you to 1.1.3 NOT to keep you at Firmware X you will need to follow those long tutorials.

NOTE: The last link is for 1.1.3 if you already have it you wont need to download it

NOTE(AGAIN): IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AT&T skip these steps and read below.
STEPS---------
1. double-click the ziphone icon
2. it should ask you to extract
3. download .NET Microsoft Framework if prompted
4. open the folder that you extracted to
5. Look in that folder for an icon of an orange/yellow lock this is Ziphone GUI
6. (GUI is Graphical User Interface meaning buttons rather that Command Line)
7. connect your phone if not connected already
8. in bottom left of Ziphone GUI find "Advanced Options"
9. Click it
10. find the box with check boxes next to Jailbreak, Activate and Unlock
11. uncheck the Jailbreak and the Unlock buttons
12. Click perform actions
13. try to turn it on
14. if you get the same thing then click Recovery Mode in Boot options to the right
15. then open iTunes
16. it will tell you you must Restore the iPhone before use again
17. Shift+Left-Click the Restore button
18. Navigate to where you downloaded 1.1.3 or try C:/programfiles/applecomputer/itunes/iphonesoftware
19. click OK
20. let it do its stuff and come back in 10-15 minutes and check it
IF IT WORKED STOP READING
21. if it didnt redo Steps 5-13


STEPS IF YOU ARE NOT WITH AT&T--------------
NOTE: THIS WILL KEEP YOU AT THE FIRMWARE YOU ARE AT WHEN YOU DO THIS
1.download ziphone
2.click the DO IT ALL button
3.wait 20-30 minutes and go eat a brownie
4.come back and you should be all done
IF YOU ARE ACTIVATED BUT CANNOT GET ANY BARS AFTER 2-3 minutes
5.do Steps 15-20 above
6.then if you still only have activation screen click DO IT ALL
