Default Same issue...

I just unlocked my iphone so I can use it with my TMobile SIM card that also had all my contacts on it. But, I don't see any of my contacts.

Question: if all my contacts are on my SIM card, why can't it see them??? Unless it deleted them. Which I would be pretty upset about.

Someone please let me know as I am now without my contacts...

Actually, according to iTunes help files, iTunes does NOT back up your contacts for you when it syncs your phone. Why not? Because Apple assumes you're using Outlook or something like it for mail and that all your contacts are already stored nice and neat for syncing to a new phone.

However, fear not, for the 3G uses a SIM card, so you'd be able to pull that out and put it in your new phone if your current one suffers any extreme problems and needs replacing.

Does the 2g phone use a SIM card? If so, your contacts should be stored there. Unless jailbreaking it fucked up something major.

the iphone does not read the contacts from the sim by itself, if you are jailbroken there is a app called iSim that helps u import the contacts from the sim to your phone but i don`t know if it`s free or if it works cuz i never tried it
