Nope, all my stock ringtones are still there. Just in case I wanted to use Cricket... ;]

WJP cant thank you enough for posting this I never would have found it on my own. I was the envy of some employees at the Apple store yesterday evening when my phone was blaring some AC/DC when i had an incoming call.

I did everything the same as you did in the video... The only thing I can think of is the first time I tried it I might have let go off the buttons early... Do you know if the program doesn't work after a failed first attempt?

No i messed up my first time also. Works fine. Try redoing the begining if that dosn't work just restore iphone and try again.

Question, do your ringtones have to be 30 seconds long, or can you just use a whole song?

Oh and also, can you add more than one ringtone at a time, or do you have to do the whole tutorial over each time you want to add a new ringtone?

I've removed all the stock ringtones except marimba

Go to iphoneinterface

cd /Library/Ringtones/

rmdir /Library/Ringtones/Quack.m4a

One thing you may want to do is type "ls" when you get into the folder that way you can see which files are in that folder...


One thing that threw me off is that there is no message verifying that you deleted it so you gotta just check your sound menu...
