IT DOES WORK AFTER 1.0.1

You need to get BOTH update files.

The phone will power off (keep holding the buttons!) and restart.
Soon it will display a yellow triangle and the message "Connect to iTunes

At this point Jailbreak will begin performing mysterious operations on your phone. Wait for it to complete and don't touch anything. You should receive this message at the end:

exactly how long does this part take. how long till you get the message is what i mean.

Can you elaborate on this? I now have both of the update files in my IPHONEMOD folder, but it still doesn't seem to be working properly.

I take it that this will not work with the 1.1.1 update correct? I just bought the phone and updated prior to joining this site... Wish I had not as customizing a phone is the the best part of owning a cool device (for me anyway). From what I have read there is no work around for the 1.1.1 update. Is this true?

Thanks for your time in making this tutorial BTW!! Hope I can use it someday!! : )

Until the dev team cracks the encryption applied to the latest update, jailbreak ing is defunct, rendering all 3rd party apps back to jail...
