How do I save settings before Jailbreak?

I have a problem that I'm hoping you can help me with. I have a iPhone 3GS that I have a lot of calendar events/appointments, notes, email etc. I have jb'd my iPhone before with no problems. I have dl'd the software to jb and get the correct ispw. My question is how do I save all of my settings before I start to jb? I know you said to save it on your desktop and then copy it back, but I don't know how to do that. Please help!!

OP: Please go ahead and shoot them a PM. Good idea to keep thread titles related to the topic.
