Just out of curiosity? Did you jailbreak your 3G? If so, did you do that before your 2G? I'm asking because there is seperate firmware for the 2G and 3G. What are the error numbers that you getting?

well if u are still on firmware 1.1.4 then use ziphone in that try the advance mode where u will find the option for DFU mode recevery mode or normal mode i would suggest go for the normal mode and if that doesnt works then go for the recovery mode hope this works for u.

I have been having the same issue. I don't want 2.02 I want my trusty 1.14.

When I download iTunes 7.5 it says that I need a newer version of iTunes to restore my phone, but that cycle ends with me having to restore again with 2.02, which I don't want. Now my phone is stuck in the same manner. Shift+restore does not work as it says an error(20) occurred. Whatever that is. After I updated to 2.02 the first time and then tried to Winpwn it part of my screen went dead and now I can't select the first number to dial on my contacts or use 4,5 or 6 on my keypad.

My advice, don't update to some craptastic firmware, or if you do don't try to pwn it. It leaves you pwned!!!

On a lighter note, I did come out of this once, but you have to go back to 2.02
