[help] Problem going from 1.1.2 jailbreak to 1.1.1 break

I followed the tutorial here

was able to install jailbreak and everything but the problem is I don't get any service (I'm using the original SIM card that came with the iPhone by the way). There's no reception, no AT&T text...

What should I do now.. I'm really lost .. I'm going back to Taiwan in 2 days hoping to unlock this iPhone which I've been using in the U.S. for 2 months (bought it and it was 1.1.1 OTB).

In the end, I wish to have a 1.1.1 iphone activated, unlocked, jailbroken .. that's all

I've try anysim but it gave me "anysim cannot unlock this iphone.." that a lot of people have gotten from what I googled.

I fixed it!!! I don't know how I did it but it's fixed now! The problem probably came from my incorrect baseband I did a baseband downgrade and everything is working now after a clean restore. 1.1.1 Activated! Jailbroken! Unlocked!

I've got a question here.. is flashing or re-flashing baseband bad to the iPhone?
I've done it 3 times and finally fixed my iPhone by trial and error last night
