yeah there's that little bit of fun - starting from 1.1.4, iTunes will not let you backup your phone if it's at a lower version than when the backup was made.

OK, thanks. But in my case I never actually made it to the 2.0.1 FW. I tried and couldn't so I restored with 2.0.0 and tried to restore from a backup made from that same firmware.

It is running 2.0.1. The Pwnage-made firmware is 2.0.1, simply with additional things to perform the jailbreak.

Default Iphone doesn't work anymore!

I just jailbroke my iPhone 3G with firmware 2.0.1 using Winpwn 2.0.0.4 and followed the guide as instructed, but now I get no cellular network whatsoever. I did not buy an iPod Touch and I absolutely need the cellphone to work. What can I do?

I restored it to the backup I had made before I jailbroke it, and Cydia remained on the iPhone and it connects to no AT&T Network. I want my phone.

You need to re-jailbreak. Having no service happens often, and redoing the process is the only fix.

I reset all settings and restored and the connection came back. I'll wait to jailbreak until it's stable. I really wanted NetShare for a road trip, though

I just restored using the custom firmware I had earlier and now it works. I'm enjoying Netshare
