Default Good idea or not?

What if I walked into the Apple store to buy an iPhone and asked them to check to see if they had one with a serial number from week 39 or prior?

You're basically asking them to go through their stock and find you an iPhone that can be jailbroken. I highly doubt you'd get anything other than a laugh, but otherwise it's not "dangerous"

By saying "the guy who helped me" do you mean an Apple or AT&T representative? Because I doubt that's a true story if so.

She takes her job too seriously. I understand while at work, but after hours? Lighten up!

Word, Dave. I'd jailbreak my iPhone even if I worked at Apple; it's a personal choice, who cares? I don't think Apple is losing tons of money for that, a lot of people actually buy the iPhone just to jailbreak it because they consider the stock to be dull. Jailbreaking is actually a good thing for them, marketwise.. I think?
