It's not just the media, it's the contacts, notes, setting the email up, and inputting all your settings etc. Not syncing media on it would save some time, but it's still pointless IMO since the new FW unlock will be available tomorrow. You'll still want to restore to factory settings before upgrading to 3.0 tomorrow, if you JB today.

I will probably do it anyways because I don't want to wait until tomorrow. Stupid I know, but I want to use this thing.

Well I have 8.1.1 up and going but for some reason when I connect the phone in Itunes it isn't showing up. Any ideas?

Do I have to let Itunes access the internet? I have it blocked.

Do I need to have my sim card in or something? I don't know why it won't show up as a device in Itunes.

Got it going! I had to let Itunes access the net for it to show up in Itunes. Does it hurt to let Itunes access the internet since it is unlocked and jailbroken? I don't want to brick the thing. After I got done I was messing around with installer and they had a notification that said they were done on july 1st. Anybody else see that? Any must have apps before they are gone? Thanks
