Error: package download failed!

Hi everybody,
I have what can now be called an "old" iphone,
w/ still a 1.0.2 firmware version I never updated
because my iphone is unblocked

(about that:
anyone know a tested way to update the firmware for an already
unblocked device? of course i need to unblock it again afterwards)

recently everytime I try to install something through the installer.app
the title message appears:
"Error: package download failed!"

this happens for every package I try to install,
even old ones like "lights off",
one of the first games for iphone, that has to work
with all the firmware versions.

Does any of you know what's going on? suggestions?

I have a 4 month old iphone with 1.1.4 ,and I'm getting the same message with alot of the apps.Yesterday I shut my phone off and back on and it started working.But this morning I'm getting the same message.
maybe installer is being updated or is down for service.

try reinstalling community sources,

whenever i get that error message, i click on the option to "clear queue" and trying again after that works. it seems like something i tried to download previously didn't work, and everything after it in the queue gets stuck as a result, so clearing the queue ends the jam...

Thanks all,

it actually turned out that updating all the sources
and clearing the queue worked out.
However after the updating of the sources
there are really few applications left..
a message says that the refreshing may encounter some error
due to the failure of some server.

Hope in the future we'll get back all the applications!
