Thanks I appreciate it. I'm painfully new at this and I just want to make sure I get things right lol. I don't want to ruin my phone.

iCreep.

Ok I found iBrickr and ran it and it went fine. My phone is now unactivated and I did the wifi and open Safari but for some reason when I try to go to jailbreakme.com on my phone it says "Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server." What does this mean?

Well I attempted to mod my iPhone today and failed miserably. I used the steps in the directions that were posted earlier in this topic and they werent very accurate to the point where I was fearing for the life of my iPhone.

When you get to the part where you have to type thing into putty or whatever its called some of the commands are inaccurate and just read invalid.

It was rediculous because I was trying to do this for approximatly 3 hours and I still couldn't get it and I even had my friend who had hacked and modded his iTouch and we still couldn't do it.

Would anyone have any easier steps to do this seeing as I'm new and I don't want to take a chance of completely destroying my phone. It would be greatly appreciated.

iCreep,
If you're on Windows, your phone is NOT unlocked and is NOT a UK phone, I would suggest following this guide instead:

http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum...eam-17069.html

If you're already at 1.1.2, you just need to temporarily downgrade to 1.1.1 first, THEN follow the guide in the link I pasted above. Here are the instructions on how to downgrade:
http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum...tml#post140881

Let us know if you have any problems.

Alright thanks for the info I'll give it a shot when I get home.

iCreep.

Ok here it is. I noticed one problem as soon as I opened the page and read the first sentence. It says he performed these actions on a modded but not unlocked iPhone. And this entire time I've had a problem getting my iPhone modded so this wont work for me.

But if you have anymore information that I could use to get my iphone modded off of 1.1.1 and I could definatly use the information that you gave me, enigmanic, to get it from 1.2.1 and I'll let you know how it goes but for now I just need to figure out how to mod my phone in general. Thanks though.
