Do I have a really expensive iPod Touch?

OK, last Friday I upgraded my jailbroken 1.1.1 iPhone to 1.1.2, thus breaking my jailbreak. Last night I found instructions to downgrade back to 1.1.1 and then upgrade to a jailbroken 1.1.2 install, which I did. Since last night I have not been able to connect to the EDGE network. Today while at work I was able to get online with it, but that was on a GPRS connection while roaming, not the AT&T EDGE network. I get home and sure enough I still can't get onto EDGE. I did a full restore to 1.1.2 to completely overwrite my jailbroken install but I still cannot connect to EDGE. The phone was jailbroken several times but never unlocked as I am using AT&T. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
