Custom IPSW?

Hey Lincoln, remember a while back when you made a thread about custom IPSW's? For those that can't use PwnageTool because they don't have a mac. Would it be a good idea to try it again? Seeing that there are some PC users that want to eventually Unlock their phone in the future.

right after I updated and jailbroke mine someone posted a link for that on another forum, I was kinda mad for not waiting after I saw it, but im on att and dont plan of switching anywhere else.

Im looking for it again but I havent been able to find it, once I do i will post the link here for you.

Ok here is what the post said.

CUSTOM 3G FIRMWARE

This is for those of you without a mac, and don't want to use Quickpwn.
This will not update your baseband, so you're safe for unlock when it comes out.

Remember, if you want to be able to unlock your 3g, you're better off using Pwnage (Mac) or use this custom firmware so you don't update the baseband.

If you don't have intentions of unlocking, you're fine with updating through itune and then using quickpwn.

I ended up shutting that down. I think I found that iTunes takes IPSW's differently depending on the OS it's running on, and OSX-made IPSW's didn't work on PCs.

I remember you ended up closing it because of that. So i guess the outcome might be the same then?
