Just do it before you run the dpkg -b MyProgram command to create the .deb file. You must do it it every time you're creating a new .deb.

Alright cool, it seemed to work!

Edit: My "5 Nice Wallpapers" package isn't working right. It installs correctly, but no wallpapers show up where they should be. For the .deb folder structure, I put all the wallpapers in /Library/Wallpapers. Am I missing something?

There's one problem here, and one thing I would recommend doing. First, you have the wrong directory - it's /Library/Wallpaper (no s). Second, because some people already have additional wallpapers installed, you need to name the wallpaper with high numbers, such as 900.png, 901.png, 902.png, etc.

Oh, oops. I'll change it soon. I always have my (custom) wallpapers renamed (including the thumbnails).

Hi, I have just got an iMac, so I'm not too familiar with Cyberduck. I can't figure out how to unzip the archive. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Great guide, thanks!

Easy to follow and comprehend

However, I have one small issue. I'm trying to run this,

dpkg-scanpackages -m . /dev/null -->Packages

but its telling me,

Unknown option (-m)!

Any ideas what's going on?

Default Already exist a .deb file!

Hey,

And what about if I already have a deb file.
I'm doing a Cydia repo to my company, and we want to put apps like ultrasn0w, appsync etc.
I think about get the .deb file of Cyder (on Windows) and then only rename the file and do the others steps.
Do this work!?

Thanks!
