Have searched for this but unless it's buried in a twenty page thread I can't find the answer.
Installer has a program to close the TIFF exploit. I know this is good for security purposes but does it prevent me from further modding the iPhone? What if I have to restore and jailbreak again? I mean, is there a downside to closing the TIFF exploit on my phone?
It will not prevent you from modding your phone. FYI, if you used the jailbreakme.com method to jailbreak your phone, the TIFF exploit fix was automatically applied anyway.
Should you ever decide to restore back to 1.1.1, then of course, the patch will no longer be there and you can jailbreak again.
