Buying a 1.1.2 iphone in Australia

G'day guys,

I purchased an out of the box 1.1.2 iphone. Its on its way now and is sealed.

I'm aware that there is no real way to unlock it properly yet (or at least confirmed way that isnt dodgy). So what I want to do is use it as an ipod touch until a real unlock is released. Also i want to jailbreak it while it is an ipod touch.

How would I go about using it as an ipod touch without damaging it until an iphone unlock comes out ??

You would just need to follow a guide specific for your system (windows or mac)
