I'm pretty excited about this. I don't actually need it since I'm an AT&T customer, but it'll come in VERY handy for the next iPhone release when I need to sell my 3GS.

There has also been claims that some other people have unlocked the baseband and apparently they are going to be putting a video up proving it but im not sure if they are just trying to get the cash reward that jodysanders person is offering because i was reading they want 25% of the money from him before they will release it.

I was also reading that jodysanders has told him that if the exploit is verified by someone either the dev-team or geohot etc then he would give the money.

Heres the video of what the other people have showing the exploit apparently and they have sent a message to musclenerd,jodysanders and geohot today saying

@jodysanders @musclenerd @geohot - 24 hours for one you guys to reply otherwise i will post exploit on my twitter. No one wants that.

I really like the amount of people getting involved to try and exploit the new baseband. Though, I'll love it if someone actually gets it out to the public in a stable state. If it works, I don't care who did it.
