Available memory issue

Ok, so I just finally upgraded to 1.1.4 from 1.0.2. I had my phone jailbroken for 1.0.2, and I was planning on using ziphone to jailbreak this 1.1.4.

My issue is that iTunes states that my iPhone has 308mb worth of memory being used by "Other". This effectively gives me all of 16mb of space left. The only thing I can think of is most of this "Other" stuff are all the old apps I had on my iPhone with 1.0.2.

What else could it be and how can I get it off so I'll have room to download the new apps when I jailbreak again?

sync your contacts, restore to 1.1.4, and set up as a new phone.

then, rejailbreak.

By syncing my contacts you mean to just connect my phone and do the overall Sync? Or is there a special contact sync function?

itunes --> iPhone --> second tab --> sync contacts
