3.0 Cydia Apps/hacks compatibillity thread

When I first jailbroke 3.0 I restored from a back up. Yesterday I restore and set up as a new phone and re-jailbroke. I'm now getting no error messages from Cydia and a few apps that didn't work now work.

Anyone encounter this problem: I can install things like Mobile Safari Plugin & Tricker 3G... but any Cydia apps wont show up on the springboard, including SBSettings, so I cannot unhide anything.

SBsettings doesn't show up on the springboard. You have to swipe your finger across the top of the screen (left to right) for the window to open.

well, that was easy

looks like it had certain apps defaulted as hidden from my last jailbreak with categories

I didn't use Rock either, I used Cydia. Here's my experience. From Cydia, I found Intelliscreen and did the install. It also installs Rock app and Rock extensions. I got 2 error messages during the install, I don't remember what they said exactly. Then it it asked if I wanted to keep my Intelliscreen config file or replace with new one. I chose to keep the old. I did a reboot and everything worked.

The downside is when I install anything else in Cydia, I get those same error messages and asking me about the config file. I repeat the usual process and everything is fine. The thing I tried installing in the first place installs.

I tried running the Rock app and it says that it's not ready for 3.0 and I see that Intelliscreen is not showing as installed through Rock. So I'm thinking once they update the Rock app, the errors will go away. But in the meantime Intelliscreen works flawlessly.

aaah ok. I just uninstalled it after it didn't show up. I'll have to try it again later tonight.

IntelliScreen works for me on my v3.0 jailbroken 3G, 16GB. I'm running IntelliScreen v2.93.

Hey Eric, should it be moved to the compatible listing?

Source mega4i.org/repo/ doesn't seem to work. Once you install the Mega Installed and reboot the 3G it will get stuck at the Apple logo and you will need to restore.
