Default 1.1.1 jailbreak vs 1.1.2 jailbreak?

I have my 1.1.1 jailbroken iPhone. I'm thinking of upgrading to and doing the 1.1.2 jailbreak. What are the benefits of having a 1.1.2 jailbroken phone? Is there a way to backup my apps that I already have installed on my 1.1.1 phone? Right now I just took a screenshot of all my apps so I know which ones i'm currentl using.

Go here it says on the first page going from 1.1.2 to then down to 1.1.1 and jailbreak then upgrade to 1.1.2

I'm on 1.1.2 jailbroken and I personally don't see a difference between 1.1.1 jailbroken and 1.1.2 jailbroken, Also if you ever have to restore your phone for some reason it will be quicker to rejailbreak your phone on the 1.1.1 firmware.

Yep, once you are downgraded to 1.1.1 and visit jailbreakme.com you are done unless you want to upgrade to 1.1.2.

I just tried to downgrade to 1.1.1 using the "chris 716" method. I got to the error message 1015 and i seemed to hit a wall. I on a MAC and I can't use the nullriver software because its an .exe file. I can't kick the phone out of the error message screen. What do I need to do complete the downgrade?

by the way. I'm running itunes 7.5. I tried to use independence but I guess it won't work with 7.5
