Default ZAGG Customer Service

So after I installed my invisibleShield by ZAGG I noticed that it got stretched out a little after I used the rubber band technique. No one would have noticed (that I even had one on) or the fact that the corners were stretched a little bit. I really wasn't expecting anything from ZAGG since the rubber band technique wasn't apart of the installations they gave.

They ended up giving me a free IS, all I have to do is pay shipping and handling and send them the old one as proof, and that is how they handle lifetime warranty.

Here is what they had to say:

Quote:
ello Matthew,

Thank you for contacting ZAGG, home of the invisibleSHIELD! My name is Louie and I appreciate the opportunity to assist you.

I'm sorry that you had trouble installing your invisibleSHIELD and I understand you would like a replacement. In general, our lifetime replacement guarantee only covers normal wear-and-tear issues, such as scratching and peeling, and typically does not cover installation difficulties. However, I would like to extend a one-time courtesy replacement to you if you would like to try the installation process again.

If you choose this option, we will email you a URL (link) that will take you to a shopping cart on our website and this will have the invisibleSHIELD you would like a replacement for. You can pay for the shipping and handling charge via credit card or PayPal. We will also note your account that we have issued you a one-time courtesy replacement for this invisibleSHIELD. We hope this will help you to have a better install this time around! Please keep in mind, however, that future installation difficulty will not be covered by our lifetime replacement guarantee.

The minimal reshipping and handling charge is $3.95 for an estimated 1 - 2 week delivery service (three weeks internationally) and includes free application solution and squeegee. If you would like to purchase a faster shipping method, this will be available.

After receiving your replacement, we will request that you send your original invisibleSHIELD back to us with your order # or registration number. This will ensure that your lifetime replacement guarantee remains valid.

Our mailing address is:

ZAGG Inc.
Replacements: IC537354
3855 S. 500 W. Suite B
Salt Lake City, UT 84115
USA

If you are not satisfied with this option we would be happy to offer you a refund and inform you of the return procedure, provided you are within the 30 day return period.

Thank you for choosing the invisibleSHIELD. We appreciate your business!

Yup, all the other shield companies do exactly the same. Bodyguardz does not have this silly "if you mess up the installation, you're stuffed" policy. You can order as many replacements as you like, pay the shipping fee and send the old shield back. If you don't send the old shield back, your lifetime replacements end. Makes sense as they don't want you getting freebies for all your buddies.

With BG, you don't even need to email them, just go to their website and order the replacement direct.

This is how business should be. I am glad that companies like this do this. How does the shipping back work, I thought they would give me an envelop but they didn't. I did notice on the top right of the package that it says something about returning, do I possibly send it back in the same package?

As far as I am aware, you pay for return shipping. I've returned a few BG's and all I had to pay was for the cost of a stamp. No biggie at the end of the day.

Plus BG give you 2 sets of shields, so it gives you a backup shield, in case you mess up the first one.

So you literally just gave them the shields, not any of the box or anything?

Yup, that is right. When they send you replacement shields, they send you that bottle of soap also, but that is it. I just returned the old shields with a copy of my receipt and that is it. I stuck the old shields onto the paper backing that the new shields came stuck to.
