I know a lot of people say this, but it's the principle of the matter.

$16 to me means very, very little. In addition to buying an iphone for myself, I gave 3 of them to my significant others as gifts because they are such fantastic people.

I'm just upset at the fact that a company is willing to do this to their customer.

I understand what you mean by principle. I can soon see myself buying a new 42" flat panel if its under 1,300 bucks and a decent brand. But, I went out recently and the restaurant I visited had a tasty sounding burger, but for 14.95. I am sorry but no burger is worth 15 bucks. It's not the money. It's the value and principle of it.

Like others have said, there is a forum member here that works for Seidio. Maybe he can give you a response that sounds less automated.

I actually think Seidio has had some issues in the past. I don't know personally what they are, but I remember someone saying that they checked them out through the BBB before ordering from them, and what they found was less than satisfactory. I'm not slandering anyone, or the company, but I just wanted to share what I've heard about them.

Anyways, when the package arrived, I discovered that they only paid $1.97 to ship the small box to me.

I wouldn't recommend that any Canadians buy anything from them.

In your response to this, please don't say that the extra money went towards "handling." It doesn't take $16 worth of labor to "handle" a package destine for Canada.

I sent an email to the company, but no response yet.
Jimmy,

I'm sorry you were unhappy with your purchase, but I can assure you there are many costs associated with shipping our product that go way beyond the label on your box.

That being said, if you are unhappy with our shipping costs, please send me an email at forum@seidio.com. I will get you an RMA so that you can return your product for a full refund including your original shipping.

Thanks,

As I stated before, I really like your products. I don't want to return the case and holster. I simply want my $15 back.

Also, don't be ridiculous. If there were additional shipping costs apart from the just the cost on the label, the you wouldn't be shipping to US residents for $3. Also, it should be know that the 18$ didn't include any form of tax, brokerage or duty at the boarder. On their website, it says that these will be the responsibility of the recipient of the package when it is received.

I am extremely disappointed with you Seidio. I will go file a complaint with the BBB right now...

Since I'm pretty sure that Seidio isn't going to help me anymore with this issue, I'll put it to rest. I just want it to be known that Seidio isn't the best company when it comes to dealing with customers in an ethical manner.

Thanks to all the EIC members who used logic and supported my case.

If I ever the the $15 back, I'm thinking of donating it to an influential member of the iPhone community. Maybe the guy who made ZiPhone . . .

I already talked to Seidio directly about this issue. The most they offered was a 10$ credit on my next purchase, which is still less than the amount they would rip me off by again ($16) after paying for shipping.

Thanks,
he's willing to refund the whole purchase including shipping. You have made it clear that you want to keep the case, so think a bit... why would he not be willing to refund JUST the shipping costs? All ya gotta do is ask him.
