well, i know there is a seidio rep that frequents these forums, so i wouldn't be surprised if he contacted you with (at the very least) an explanation of the charges, and probably a partial/full refund. They have been very accommodating for customers so far.
this is the link to that dude who is from seidio, maybe you can pm him and ask him was up with that.. that does suck.. 16 bucks is 16 bucks... get that 'ish back homes..
Well I can't speak for them, but next time I'd get it through the EIC store if you can. I say "if you can" because I'm not sure they do international shipping. But I can speak for their service and prices... both spot on.
As Buffy stated, Customs duty and handling will apply. The sticker you see on the package covers the "airfreight" only and has no bearing on the costs actually incurred. This item was shipped to you under DDP terms - Delivered Duty Paid. If you've ever shipped something even within Canada, you may be aware that your package was marked with postage only. If you sent it "Certified Mail" you would have had to pay the postal service this fee separately. Sorry you feel ripped off. You weren't so move on.

I cant comment on this case, but the price on the sticker is not necessarily the total cost to the company for shipping, but in general international shipping is a rip off and company's and ebay sellers do charge extortionate rates (I am not talking about any specific company)
I recently bought an innocase from seidio and had it shipped internationally (UK) and the price was high I think almost the cost of the case again, which I think is too expensive, although it was shipped Fedex and arrived quickly
...my only complaint is that I didn't realise there was an EU shipping option until it was too late...it isnt well enough advertised on site, in fact the EU shipping should be the default for those countries orders unless you request otherwise (for speed).
Moving away from seidio again...
I think in this day and age shipping costs should be minimal and the cost to the consumer should be the cost of postage and not a penny more, with a world market and the world 'getting smaller' the advantages to providing and international service should be huge without taking advantage of those customers.
Proof that they ripped me off. This is the response I get.
"Dear Jason,

On my next purchase, I'm going to be overcharged by $16 on shipping. After their discount, they will still get $6 of my money that they don't deserve. This is absolutely ridiculous.
jason or jimmy - whatever your name is...there's a saying: time is money. you're wasting one talking too much about the other. enjoy your case and your credit.
