Default Scratches while in an Incase Slider?

I've just taken off the incase slider case off my black 3GS to give it a clean, and theres some slight scratching on the back of the phone which definatley was not there the last time the case was off. Has anyone else had this happen? It's only very slight, but it's annoyed me none the less ( I like gadgets as new lol!). Am I the only victim?

I had one for my v1 & as I was putting the case back on I guess a speck of debris was in the case or on the back of the phone & I heard it scratching the phone as I was sliding the case on. Luckily it was only a hairline scratch & not very noticeable. After that I never used the case again. Also it had put some nicks on my bezel.

havent had a single scratch on mine, i take mine off every 2 or 3 days to clean and wipe the case out. Definitely make sure the case is clean on the inside before putting it back on. My 3gS is still flawless though after about 4 weeks in the slider.

Yep. The Incase Slider scratched the HELL out of my iPhone. I was so pissed off. I will never recommend that case to anyone. It's 35 dollars of overpriced crap. Pick up the Speck CandyShell (for 3G or 3GS), you won't regret it.

I got one of the first Incase Sliders when they were originally released last year for the 3G and was a huge fan. However, despite being ridiculously adamant about frequently removing the case and cleaning both the case and the phone, my 3G suffered some serious scratching. I got over it because when the case was on the scratches were undetectable. Also, it's like once you get that first scratch on your new car you tend to be less concerned about maintaining its pristine condition. I had the phone replaced prior to the warranty expiring and no longer use a case; the only thing I've got on this one is a PS crystal film protecting the screen.

I know I'll get over it to(Im glad its not just me its happened to) , but its just because its the first scratches that Im annoyed! Im actually contemplating just going with a screen protector and no case because the phone feels alot nicer to hold without one. And when/if it does get dropped/scratched badly, Ive got insurance on it so I know Ill get a replacement. Hmm decisions decisions!

I honestly hate my incase slider case. Its terrible. I have scratches and nicks all around my phone. Any suggestion for case's that don't do this.

I'm no longer sure there is a case out there that doesn't scratch the iPhone. I've tried quite a few since the release of the v1 phone. They certainly protect the screen from drops, providing the phone doesn't hit a hard surface directly on the screen. But I've yet to find one that doesn't allow debris in between the case and phone which eventually ends up scratching your phone.

I've had several cases, and they've all scratched my iPhone. Scratched the back, scratched the bottom, scratched the bezel.. everywhere. However, I haven't noticed any damage done from my Incase Slider which has been on my 3GS for about a week and a half. That may be because it's white, but the bezel looks fine too.

Edit: I just took off my Incase to check, and while the iPhone still looks perfect, the inside of the case itself sure doesn't. Normal or not?

Give it longer than a few weeks and your bezel will end up getting scratched. I really didn't notice any for a while on my 3G. Maybe it was because I was cleaning both the case and phone more frequently when I first got them.

I just looked at my 3G Slider case and although it's over a year old it certainly doesn't look half as scratched as your new one. I would say it's not normal.
