Default Question about good holster style case-Griffin Elan or Belkin or other?

I purchased a 8GB iPhone yesterday. I'm used to using a Holster case with my current phone and like it a lot. I like how it protects it well and it's covered so no one can see the phone inside and it's easy to just pull out and use the phone itself without having it in a case. Maybe I will find another non holster style case I like but I really prefer the holster cases.
Two I've looked at are the Griffin Elan Holster Case and the Belkin iPhone holster case. Both are listed on Apple's web site. They were sold out of them at the Apple store though. Are these nice cases or is one better than the other?
Are there any other holster cases or other types of cases I should look at?

I love the Belkin Slim-Fit case I got at my AT&T. It's slim like the phone, the belt clip is extremely low-profile so I can put it in my pocket w/o knowing there's a belt clip on it, and it has a nice screen on the bottom to both allow easy removal of the iPhone from the case AND to be able to hear the ringer. Some cases apparently have overlooked this small, but important fact.

I wholeheartedly give a great review for the Belkin Slim-Fit. I believe there's another thread on here I am involved in that has several other positive reviews of this case.

I use the Elan Snap-In case and love it. The iPhone sits snuggly into the holster, yet it's easy to take out. All the pictures you see are with the screen facing outwards, but I usually place the iPhone with the screen inwards. The material on the inside is soft and doesn't scratch at all. And by placing the iPhone with the screen in, you get to show off that nice Apple logo!

Picked the case up at a local AT&T store for $20.

I bought the Griffin-Elan leather holster case. The phone fits nice and snug in it and doesn't seem like it would fall out easy if you mount the clip sideways on it. This holster also comes with a cleaning cloth like the one apple provided and a protective film to adhere to the screen which i didn't use as i don't like screen films. I was going to get one of the pouches with the flap that snaps over the phone, but i really like the Griffin holster case. If you decide to bypass the clip and just put the phone in your pocket, the holster fits nicely in your side pockets of your jeans as it doesn't add much to the phones size. Most of the time i carry my phone nekkid if i'm indoors but i wanted something in case i drop my phone while outside and on a hard surface such as the concrete. I am pretty confident this holster will take care of the phone.

weird that has not happened to me but I usually remove the clip and carry the phone in the holster in my pocket. It seems to fit very snug in the holster I even shake it upside down with no slip outs.

does it just wedge in there tightly, what holds it in, did you use clear screen protector included?

I'm pretty happy with my DLO Hipcase. I'm partial to holsters too, and even though it's not slim like the Belkin, it does pretty much cover up everything except the headphone jack, and it's quite the durable little puppy with a nice sturdy belt clip. Oh, and even though it's plenty snug with the phone itself in it, there's room for an ID and a credit card if you don't wanna lug a wallet around.

It's $35 on DLO.com and $29 at ATTingular.
