Default iPhone 3GS + InvisibleShield? Does this look normal? (pics inside)

I had an iPhone 3G and the first time I applied an InvisibleShield I was too rough while trying to get the bubbles out and I apparently damaged it because even after several days it looked awful.

After receiving a new InvisibleShield I was able to apply it nearly perfectly and it looked great. However, with my new iPhone 3GS I've tried applying the Invisible Shield (to the back only) and after 3 hours it looks HORRIBLE.

Take a look:

Is that normal? Will it look "flawless" after 2-3 days like the box says?

It looks like you didn't spray enough of the solution down when laying it on. I had two to three smaller than pea sized bubbles when I added my InvisibleShield. They didn't work out in "2-3 days" like the box says, it took about a week for them to go away completely.

Although now I'm about 50% dissatisfied with my IS. Function is great protects from scratches wonderfully, but the entire thing is discolored and it looks hideous. My 3GS is white, and you can clearly tell that the IS is starting to turn brown/black while the rest of the iPhone is a beautiful white color, at least the small sections that aren't covered.
