Default Invisible Shield Drop Protection?

I am thinking about getting the invisible shield but the main thing holding me back is the impact resistance of it. Does the invisible shield protect against drops and dings? If I were to drop the iPhone with an invisible shield on it, do you think the iPhone would get any permanent dents on it?

If the invisible shield is anything like the BSE (Best Skins Ever), it is designed for scratch and minor bump damage prevention. It won't do you any good for major impacts. It's like the clear bra on my car. Great to prevent paint damage, but if someone backs into me, it will be a new bumper regardless. It's just a film and doesn't really offer much shock absorption.

What I used to do for my Treo was put the BSE'ed unti in a nice case. Many cases are known to scratch your device (abrasion over time). Then I really liked the 'naked' look/feel so I just used the BSE.

The clearbra applied to many vehicles is just a film similar to the screen protectors and skins for cameras, pdas, phones, etc. Just usually thicker.

but if it is for a guys car it is a clear manzere... Best thing to do if you are using the invisible shield and have issues with with droping it, my suggestion is to hold onto it as best as possible. It will not protect against drop damage.

It has an extra grip to it. As long as you always have your hand on it, it won't slip out, thus no drop damage. :P
